I still work as an NMC-registered nurse today. My nursing background has given me experience supporting people through complex and challenging situations. It’s taught me the value of listening carefully, building trust and keeping the person at the heart of what I do, qualities I bring to our coaching sessions.
Hi, I'm Lisa.
Registered Nurse | UKIHCA Registered Health & Wellbeing Coach
I've spent more than 20 years working as a nurse in the NHS, and I know that health doesn't happen in isolation.
How we look after ourselves can be influenced by stress, work, relationships, caring responsibilities, our experiences and everything else we're carrying.
I also know there can be a big difference between knowing what might help and actually feeling able to do it.
I work with adults who want to look after their health for the future, as well as those living with a long-term condition who want to feel more confident managing their health and wellbeing day to day.
For me, looking after our health isn't just about adding years to our lives, but adding life to our years.
You don't need to have a health condition to work with me. You may simply want to feel better, develop healthier habits or start taking your health more seriously.
My understanding of feeling stuck isn't only professional. I've also experienced periods in my own life when difficult circumstances made moving forward harder than it perhaps looked from the outside.
That's shaped the way I work.
I recognise that our experiences and circumstances can affect how we cope, how we care for ourselves and how possible change feels. My approach is supportive, non-judgemental and focused on finding a way forward that feels manageable for you.
Could Coaching Help Me?
Sometimes you know something needs to change, but you're not quite sure what or where to start.
Take a moment. Do any of these sound familiar?
I know what I should be doing for my health. I just struggle to do it consistently.
I keep telling myself I'll start when life calms down.
I've tried making changes before, but somehow I end up back where I started.
I spend a lot of time looking after other people, and my own health tends to come last.
Stress, tiredness or a busy life often gets in the way of looking after myself.
I know something needs to change, but I'm not sure where to start.
I've been told I need to make some lifestyle changes, but being told what to do hasn't really helped me do it.
I can be hard on myself when I don't stick to the changes I planned.
I've been through a difficult or stressful period and feel as though I've become a bit stuck.
I want to take better care of my health now rather than waiting until something goes wrong.
I'm living with a long-term health condition and want to feel more confident looking after my wider health and wellbeing alongside my medical care.
I'd like someone to listen and help me work things through without judging me or simply telling me what to do.
What did you notice?
Perhaps just one stood out. Perhaps several did.
If something resonated, that could be a good place for our conversation to start.
How I can help
Looking at the whole picture
Whether you want to protect your future health, live well alongside a long-term condition or improve your everyday health and wellbeing, we can look at the areas that matter most to you. Our conversations might include:

Eating well
Realistic, sustainable eating habits
Eating well: Realistic, sustainable eating habits
I ask questions that help you get clear on what you want to change, why it matters to you and what’s getting in the way. Together, we explore what could help and identify manageable steps that you feel ready to take. We also look at what will help you keep going, with room to learn and adjust when life gets in the way.

Common questions
Not at all. Plenty of people come because something feels off, or because they're tired of putting themselves last, rather than because anything is formally wrong.
That's a completely normal place to start and honestly, a common one. Working out what actually matters is part of the coaching, not something you need to have done beforehand.
We talk. I'll ask questions, listen properly, and help you make sense of what's going on. The aim is to find something useful to take away, whether that's a clearer direction or one small step to try.
Then it's not right for you, and that's a perfectly good outcome of a free 30-minute call. I'd rather tell you honestly than take a booking I can't help with.
Usually, every week or two. Coaching works best with a bit of momentum, but we'll find a rhythm that suits your life.
Normally online using Google Meet or Zoom, as agreed for your session. You'll need an hour and somewhere you won't be interrupted. Local face-to-face sessions may be available by agreement. Coaching is currently offered to adults living in the UK.
Three-session packages are normally completed within three months of your first paid session, and six-session packages within six months. Reasonable extensions can be agreed for illness, caring responsibilities or other significant circumstances. If I am unavailable, the period will normally be extended.
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to rearrange a session without an additional coaching charge. With less notice, a session may be treated as used only where that fairly reflects my loss; emergencies and exceptional circumstances are considered fairly. This is separate from your statutory 14-day cancellation right for a coaching contract agreed remotely. The coaching agreement explains early starts and refunds.
Payment is currently by bank transfer, normally within three days of booking confirmation and before the appointment if it is sooner. Your appointment is secured once the payment due is received. By agreement, the three-session package can be paid in two instalments of £75, or the six-session package in three instalments of £90; payment dates are confirmed in writing.
No. Therapy tends to look back at what's happened to you and help you heal it. Coaching looks forward to where you are now, where you want to be, and what will get you there. If what you need is therapy, I'll tell you, and I'll point you in the right direction.
No. I coach as a coach, not as a clinician. My nursing background means I understand how health works in real life, but coaching doesn't diagnose, treat, or replace the care you get from your GP or specialist. If something needs medical attention, I'll always encourage you to take it to them.
Your coaching information is confidential, subject to the limited exceptions explained in my privacy policy, including legally required disclosure or a lawful, necessary disclosure responding to an immediate risk to life. Agreed worksheets and follow-up notes may be sent to you; that does not permit sharing your coaching content with an employer or other people. Sessions are not recorded or transcribed.
